What to Bring

New Hope Recovery wants you to be prepared when you come, which is why we have put together a list of items that will help you be prepared for when you arrive.

Photo ID and insurance card

Prescribed medication with original label on bottles
Example: Any expired medications, medications that are not in their original container, or unidentifiable substances cannot be used and will be sent home per policy.

Cigarettes or other nicotine products 
Example: Cigarettes, chewing tobacco, vapes, nicotine patches or lozenges. There is absolutely no use of tobacco products of any kind allowed inside the facility. There are designated areas outside the facility for you. Vapes must be brand new in the box.

Snacks and water
Example: Chips, candy, water, juice. A clear plastic container with lid to keep the snacks in must be purchased and brought when admitting.

Comfortable clothes are essential
A week’s worth.
Not to exceed the following:
1 belt
7 bottoms (can be a combination of jeans, yoga pants, sweats, shorts)
7 shirts/tops
3 undershirts
2 pairs of pajamas
7 pairs of underwear, boxers or panties
3 bras or sports bras
7 pairs of socks
2 hats
2 jackets
3 pairs of shoes (can be a combination of tennis shoes, slippers, boots etc.)
1 pair of shower shoes
*Revealing clothing or clothing promoting drugs or alcohol are not allowed.

Personal hygiene items
Not to exceed the following:
1 personal fan
1 alarm clock
1 blow dryer
1 curling iron
Example: deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, brush or comb, feminine hygiene products, shaving cream, lotion, makeup, electric grooming supplies. *Please note, all items must be alcohol and aerosol free.

Valuables
New Hope Recovery discourages bringing valuables into treatment. For everyone’s safety and comfort, we ask that you leave all valuables at home or arrange for them to be sent home at the time of admission. You are responsible for any personal belongings brought into the facility or kept in your room. New Hope Recovery is not responsible for any losses or damages. Upon discharge, any clothing or personal items not claimed within 72 hours will be destroyed or donated.
